The week before the horrible events of November 13th 2015, I was in Paris on a business trip. I brought my camera, of course, and stayed an extra couple of days before the business meeting, to take some pictures.

This was the third time in Paris but the first time I was by myself for a while. What a wonderful town to stroll around and take pictures in. The sceneries are everywhere. Beautiful buildings and magnificent streets. Old and new. Restaurants everywhere. Crowded with tourists such as myself.

I brought a couple of rolls of Kodak Portra 400 and planned to buy some more on arrival. But Saturday came to an end before I had managed to get out of Charles de Gaulle airport and found my hotel. And then on Sunday everything was closed. So I was stuck with what I had. Lucklily, I brought some just-in-case rolls of expired Ilford Delta 400.

Just walking along, snapping away… That’s just about the best day I can imagine.
